Jay Song, UX Researcher

I’m a user experience (UX) researcher on the Digital Banking Experience team at MUFG Union Bank. I use UX research methodologies and tools to identify key actionable insights and improvement opportunities across the bank’s digital touchpoints. I’m also a classroom assistant at UCLA Extension and support the university’s User Experience Certificate program.

I have over 8 years of combined experience in UX, communications, and training fields. In my previous role, I was the communications lead within the finance organization at MUFG and managed their internal communications, operational readiness, and employee engagement efforts.

I have a BA in English from the University of Maryland, College Park, an MA in instructional systems development from UMBC, and a UX certificate from UCLA Extension. I’m a recent west coast transplant based in Los Angeles, CA and love to explore my new home whenever I get the chance.
